Green Homes & Renewable Energy Festival
Mid-Town St. Louis
10:00 am–6:00 pm

Grandel Square, the urban home of the EarthWays Center, will become an exciting Green Street Promenade of exhibitors, green vendors, and kid’s activities. Festival admission and parking is free!

Expert Workshops and Presentations will occur throughout the day in three classrooms next door at Cardinal Ritter College Prep High School. Workshops will cover a range of topics like solar and wind energy, home and vehicle efficiency, urban farming, composting, recycling, and more. Participants can attend multiple workshops for only $5. Workshop wristbands available for purchase at the Welcome Tents or at the Workshop Tent in front of Cardinal Ritter High School.

Festival day bonus! Dancing In The Street a live, lively and FREE kickoff to St. Louis’ fall arts season. Street and theater performances will fill Grand Boulevard between Lindell and Delmar, 1 to 9 p.m. on Saturday September 27. Don’t miss the sculptural ballet of “Neighbourhood Watch Stilts International,” street performances at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Two major events, the Ozark Renewable Energy Expo and the EarthWays Green Homes Festival, have merged! Over three thousand people from across the Midwest attended the 2007 Green Homes Festival and the 2007 Ozark Renewable Energy Expo. Combining these events provides the public with a larger festival that covers a broader array of practical ways to incorporate renewable energy and sustainable practices into everyday life.

Green House Tour featuring several homes throughout St. Louis pursuing certification through LEED-Homes and/or the Green Building Initiative. Attendees can take the self-guided tour or join the bus tour. The bus tour fee includes lunch. Learn more...

The EarthWays House will be open both Saturday and Sunday during the Festival and House Tour. Docents will be on hand at stations throughout the house to interpret the home and help answer questions as visitors self-guide. There will be plenty of handouts and other helpful information for you to pick up and take home for reference as well.
